Sapphire Lutheran Homes is committed to the general well-being of its campus and to the general public effort to mitigate transmission of coronavirus. Sapphire Lutheran Homes has implemented an array of health care precautions, practices, and policies in response to the challenge. News and media sources have been vigilant to broadcast information, guidance, and edicts to the general public from federal, state, and local health care officials. Sapphire Lutheran Homes and similar human services organizations have also received additional guidance and direction from these same sources. We earnestly join effort with these and all public officials to minimize spread of the virus.
We have striven to go above and beyond some of the official health care guidelines, including early implementation of a NO VISITATION policy. Currently, no visitors are allowed within Sapphire Lutheran Homes campus. Exception may be given for end of life circumstances. Even then, however, end of life visitations will have restrictions.

We request and appreciate your adherence to our COVID-19 NO VISITATION policy. This adherence is essential to preserving the well-being of our elders and others who could be most severely impacted by the virus. We are thankful to all who are providing calm and deliberate responses to the challenges before our community, and humbly encourage people to love and serve their neighbors as themselves.

Update: As of March 20th, 2020, at (time) all volunteers and non-essential healthcare personnel (HCP), including care givers will no longer be allowed in our buildings.

We are offering some assistance to Hamilton and some surrounding areas to seniors who are sheltering in place

Sapphire Lutheran Homes is a member of the priesthood of all believers, more specifically a community of diverse people who embrace God’s call to Love and Serve our neighbor (Galatians 5:13). Over the past twenty plus years Sapphire Lutheran Homes has served Western Montana with compassion and conviction While Sapphire Lutheran Homes directly serves seniors, the ministry of Sapphire Lutheran Homes is directed to all ages, faiths, and backgrounds.

In 1986, a group of concerned citizens belonging to the Rocky Mountain Grange saw a need for faith based senior housing in the Bitterroot Valley. Thus the seed was planted and has since been nurtured and has grown into the present day Sapphire Lutheran Homes.

The community is comprised of four buildings and offers a magnificent view of the Bitterroot Mountains, and in particular, Blodgett Canyon which can be seen across Beaver Lake on the lovely grounds nestled in the heart of scenic Hamilton Montana. It is comprised of 160 individual apartments which comprise of one or two bedroom apartments with small kitchens where residents may prepare their own meals or entertain guests in the privacy of their own home. They can also experience the dining room’s exceptional meals and camaraderie and enjoy a common area with friends. Housekeeping and maintenance are also provided.

Sapphire Lutheran Homes Dinning Room is also Open to the public, but we ask that you please make a 24hr advanced reservation.
